I'm just a sucker for a gorgeous table setting - particularly one that looks like this! This table top has all of the elements that I love - colour, texture and one a kind china ware. Don't you just love this blue china against the lovely and natural coloured linen. Throw in a a piece of driftwood and voila - a beautiful table upon which to dine.

I am a sucker for that exact shade of cobalt blue. I have a trio in it but just adore the allover blue.

Both my husband and I love this dinnerware from iittala. There's a funny story behind it - well, kind of. iittala is a Finnish brand, as you probably know and my husband's mum is Finnish and we both loved the name "Taika" - sounds a bit like "Tyke" or "Tike" as in "he's a little tyke/tike" and so we did toy with the idea of naming our baby Taika but then we couldn't find any translation or origin for the name so we ditched the idea. But if we ever do learn what "Taika" means, who knows for next time around!
I am such a sucker for anything involving a piece of driftwood, branch or twig - but I love it combined with these pretty berries even more xx
Taika means Magic in Finnish.
It was curious to run into some Finnish china in an international blog. Always a delightful surprise to someone who knows Finland isn't particularly known in the world. We're overshadowed by posh cousin Sweden and big brother Russia!
