Sneak Peek....
Well, I'm just busting at the seams and brimming with excitement to bring this sneak peek of my new home to you. Yes, I know, it is but a sneak peek but there's more to come I promise! This is a pic of our 'foyer' of sorts - with my one flourish - a Florence Broadhurst wallpaper - Shadow Floral in Dusty Turquoise. What do you think? The hanging light shade is the George Nelson Bubble Lamp and I'm completely in love with the peacock coloured velvet on the old sofa. Walls in white, as always a favourite for me. And yes, that is me in frame - bringing home the 'bread' from the lovely French patisserie in Byron Bay. The photograph is by Prue Ruscoe (as always) - not just because she is the most amazing photographer around but also because she makes me look much better in photo's than I do in real life! LOL

Wow! That's just gorgeous Shannon. Love the turquoise and white combination. It looks really fresh.
Your place looks stunning - you must have been working so hard!
Is the pic for a story coming up in a magazine soon?
What a lovely fresh foyer. The Florence wallpaper looks so great with the gorgeous colour of the sofa. And I love the double doors. Looking forward to seeing more!

It looks gorgeous Shannon! It must be a great feeling now it is all coming together. I know it is a lot of work (and blood, sweat and tears..). We just bought a new home. We are getting the key in December and then we will be renovating for some months. We are now in the stage of making floor plans and lay-outs for the rooms. There are a lot of difficult descisions to make. I am having sleepless nights but I'm keeping my eye on the price! Looking forward to seeing more pictures of your home!
I am very excited to be getting a sneak peek into what you are doing to your new home! This colour combination is so fresh and calming, and I am loving the Florence wallpaper. Can't wait to see the rest......

Gosh that is a lovely photograph and a truly beautiful room. The wallpaper was a perfect choice. It must be heaven living with such soaring ceilings. I can't wait for more sneak peeks.
Anna :)
p.s I wish I had a French bakery nearby! I miss authentic baguettes.
Hi Shannon
Love the turquoise. I'm getting itchy painting fingers to re-do part of my place in teal or turquoise. It's such a rich and yet serene colour. Can't wait to see more pics.

I think i LOVE it!
Absolutely love it,looks so fresh and calming.
I love the Florence Broadhurst wallpaper as well. She was quite an amazing character and wouldn't she be delighted that her wallpapers are so much in vogue now? There is a recipe in the book French Women don't get fat for baguettes. I keep promising myself I'll try it. Nothing beats a baguette in a park in Paris, however. Nothing!
I'm with you Primrose re the baguettes - my favourite was always jambon and fromage (yes I do have a couple of words of French left over from the year that I spent there!!!). I'll meet you there in springtime!
