Welcome all!

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog!
I'm so excited to finally be up and blogging about what I love talking and writing about the most - all things home and decorating. If your interested in decorating and creating a home that you love living in, then this is the place to get some great decorating advice - everything from renovating ideas to taking the pain out of choosing paint colours, creating beautiful flower arrangements, dressing the table for a dinner party and more. Plus, I'll be showcasing the work of some great Australian designers, decorators and craftspeople - and a few overseas talents as well - so you'll be at the forefront of decorating trends as they happen. And we'll go behind the scenes at my new home, where I take you through the trials and tribulations of decorating my farmhouse in country Australia. So keep checking back to see what's coming up and feel free to post any decorating questions or comments - I love hearing what's going on in your decorating life.

hi shannon,
I love your books and HOME is my favourite show on the The Lifestyle Channel. I just wanted to ask you, are you planning on doing anything on kids bedrooms? I have two messy boys and I need some storage ideas.

Hi Megan.
That's a subject that's very close to my heart - the curse of the messy kids bedrooms.
I've written a piece about it for my column with inside out magazine and I'll definately be tackling that subject here so look out for future posts.

Hi Shannon

Great to stumble upon your blog today. I must admit "sense of colour" is never far from my reach as I'm always referring to it.

I share your enthusiasm for old timber homes and look forward to reading about decorating yours. We too, left Sydney and bought an old farmhouse in Tasmania and we're needing some inspiration!

Bye for now

Thanks Michelle,
I think a post on old farmhouses might be in order!

Hi Shannon - I know this is an old blog but I am starting from the start so I don't miss anything! This may sound naff but I have all of your books and always pore over them for inspiration and advice in renovating our home. I too am addicted to all things home and decorating, especially based on a white theme. I look forward to reading all about your farmhouse - I noticed it in this month's Inside Out which I just had delivered home today! Jayne
