They Say That Love Is Blind!

Well, here it is..... dadadadum! My new home. A few posts ago I introduced you to my new love - a turn of the century farmhouse in country New South Wales, Australia. From the outside, it was love at first sight - a beautiful timber homestead with a majestic roof line and views of lush green pastures. But step inside and the decor is looking a little tired! What do you think of the aqua swirl carpet and bathroom tiles? The trick to a successful renovation is to maintain the balance between the essence of what you love about the house when you first laid eyes on it and then what you can do to make the house support how you need to live in an emotional and practical sense. That's the challenge ahead for us! Come along on the journey as I take you through the process of updating the shell and then dressing the interiors. It's going to be a fun ride, that's for sure....

That carpet is fabulous - does it smell kind of musty too? It reminds me of the peacock post you did a while ago.

The carpet does have a rather fabulous quality to it - in a very 70s kind of way! And musty is an understatement - I think it will have to go!
