Like A Flowering Stone...

It's just possible that I was married to a stone mason in a past life... That could explain why I love stonework so... These are the stone steps that Joni our stonemason has just completed... Every time I catch a glimpse my heart does skip a beat... Oh, and I had to share a little of my new garden beds with snapdragons and other pretty plants  -and potager replete with beans, tomatoes, zucchini... I'm so proud of my little garden... Could there be anything more fulfilling that popping a seedling in the ground and watching it grow? Ah, everytime there's a new shoot, I think I've died and gone to heaven! Do you have a potager at home? What are you growing that you love...

I too love stone walls. We're working on more rustic versions at our place. I think spring is so fantastic simply for watching plants emerge - you can almost watch them grow - amazing!

I don't have a vegie patch but I LOVE gardening so I totally get where you're coming from. The stone walls and splashes of colour do look lovely...

We are replacing a lot of our acre garden with natives (currently with wire surrounds to keep the wallabies at bay until they are a little bigger and less of a tasty snack). It is a treat for the soul when they begin to flourish and sprout new growth and flower shoots.

I agree a little stone work is always a nice addition. Another natural element that is still very unique in every piece.
I watching some baby gardenias grow...with my fingers crossed.;-)

Very very nice. Love the colour of your stones. I can feel Joni's backache though. Just from doing our 'fake stone' fireplace my body ached. His must be real nasty from using real ones.

It all looks fantastic Shannon. Hope the pool is lots of fun too!!
