Fields of Dreams...

Can't you just imagine a long, languid lunch with a few friends out in this beautiful field? It's a dream of mine to host a lunch in one of our paddocks - with a long table and benches big enough to accommodate many bottoms. It would have to be spring of course - warm, but not too hot - with a menu of delightful indulgences. Ah, heaven...

Shannon this is a dream of mine also. The paddocks on my farm looked absolutely magical at the moment. They are all lush green with fresh crops. Have you heard of 'Outstanding in the Field' before? If not you may also be inspired by their concept of enjoying food at the source. I know I certainly was! http://weekendhost.blogspot.com/2009/06/idea-3outstanding-in-field.html

Sigh. I wish it was warm enough for one of those lunches now ...

I love the idea, but being allergic to grass makes the dream impossible to come true. But hey! That is why it is so nice to dream, isn't it? In dreams one can do and be anything!

Shannon,
Marthas image gave me the same notion. I think I'd like to add a rustic tent. Four branches, eye & hooks and a great old kingsize sheet!!!
I missed the spring boat here on the other side of the equator but perhaps you can soon do it for all us!!!

If I saw Bertoias sitting idly in a field like that I would definitely make away with them! This looks lovely.
