What Beauty...

Is to be found in extraordinary places. These pics are photographs taken from the set of Jane Campion's film, Bright Star... Such haunting colour, texture and life, in a way that only Jane Campion can convey...

And what a movie! I absolutely loved it. Blubbered my way through to the end! My favourite kind of movie - historical, romantic, beautiful to look at...

Gorgeous images! I love, love, loved that movie - and had the most amazing experience seeing it in he cinema, i wrote a post about it at my blog, because i was so touched by it.

It is just the most visually stunning movie in such a very long time. Do see it if you haven't yet.

Ahhhh! Reminds me of my late Mum who used to leave her washing out in the rain purely because of the way it made it smell and feel soooooo soft (well that was her excuse!)

And now I do the same whenever I get the chance because its kind of a family tradition and somehow it makes me feel closer to her.

And the rain really DOES make the sheets feel softer!!!

Thanks Shannon for evoking a beautiful memory for me :o)
