An issue has cropped up in my life of renovating and redecorating - that has to do with balustrades. And so, I'm on the hunt for pics of lovely and quaint styles of balustrades that will fit in with my old farmhouse. I've come across this pic - simple I know, but very achievable - kinda Caribbean but not overly literal. What do you think?

Oh yes these criss cross ones are lovely. I did a smaller version of this balustrade for my 'pool shack', although Millie (Laurel Hedge) reckons I need to tear it down and put in a swim up pool bar! A-M xx
I love this photo very gorgeous indeed, but I am going to have to agree with Beach Tropic about maybe it being a little too much for your gorgeous farmhouse, I would go with something a bit simpler, love your blog!

That is a tough call since they are so lovely. Perhaps of version with heftier posts & cannon ball type post tops (forgive my lack of the proper terminology). I do love them xx
