Could This Be Home....

Oh I do love the Petit Trianon at Versaille - built for Madame Pompodour and used by Marie Antoinette as her place of retreat and fun and games. From a decorating perspective, it's just such a luscious, girly house - filled with beautiful rose pink silks and beautiful floral patterns. I think I could move in and live a little of Marie Antoinette's life for a while - minus the ending of course!

Thanks for the tour. Today is my birthday so your post was a nice start to my day. When I was in Paris many moons ago, I chose not to do the Versaille tour (what was I thinking?). I am enjoying your European posts immensely. Thanks for taking us along for the ride!

Would it be madness to reproduce it in my humble, miners brick inner-city cottage? I don't think so! I thought the same when I was at Versailles. But we would not wish such a terrible fate upon anywhere. Poor woman. Her story always makes me sad.

What a beautiful place. I'd love to visit one day but until then I leave a sigh here!

It's been so amazing reading about your adventures in Paris Shannon. I so wish I was with you too.
I have always been fascinated with Marie Antoinette, visiting Versaille would be high on the list for me.
