Why, Hello Again...

Hello everyone,
I know I've been flying under the radar a little this week - that's because I've been away on a little sourcing trip - hunting fabrics and decoration for a dinner table that I'm styling for a charity ball coming up in October. It's been rather full on work I have to say - as I have a very definite picture of how I want things to look in mind - the trick of course, is to find the pieces of the jigsaw - and I seem to be on track so far... I hope!
In the meantime, I have to show you my latest Women's Weekly project - re-upholstering and painting an old dining chair. I used an Ici et La stripe as the fabric of choice - and painted the chair a lovely soft blue - (it was an old brown one originally). What do you think?

I think... beautiful, beachy, laid-back and gorgeous for summer! Reminds me a little of the chair I'm sitting on right now - except mine was upholstered by me, using thumb tacks and leaves much to be desired!

I love the chairs.

It must be lots of fun doing tablescapes for a job! I did one for my daughters vintage inspired Sweet 16 party and really loved it. I must admit it was time consuming finding everything to complete my vision.

Gorgeous!

I recently rescued four chairs from our local tip shop and have started a similar project. Which issue is your project in? I think I may need some help!!!

I was admiring that picture in the Women's Weekly only last night! I love the ice blue paint and the fabric goes wonderfully with it. What a great transformation to old brown chairs. I love the table too.
