I love the little art gallery in the main street of Bangalow called Barebones. It's a cutie fibro shack, filled to the brim with the work of local artists - and includes paintings, ceramics and sculptures. Before I moved to Bangalow from Sydney - when I would come up for my hols - I would visit Barebones and invest in a piece of local art to remind me of this beautiful area. Over the years, I've amassed a small, inexpensive collection - who would have thought back then that I would end up living here. Thank goodness for small galleries like this one - they keep local art alive and in doing so, make it accessible to us all.

Completely agree Shannon - a trip to Bangalow is not complete for me without popping into BareBones......Oh - and Ate for a coffee and warm breakfast muffin ;-) Wish I could be there right now!!!
Bangalow has come a long way since I lived in the Northern Rivers, over 20 years ago. All I can remember about Bangalow from back then is a 'basket place'???!!! Is that still there? Sounds so sophisticated and all grown up now!

I love the look of this place. And it's in a fibro! Nuff said.
Love it. When I finally make it over there this year for our family holiday, I'll be paying a visit to this little hidden treasure.
This looks amazing Shannon. I wish there was something like this in my neighbourhood! Px
Hi Shannon!
Thank you for visiting and leaving me great respond! You are too kind :)
And you are so right about these small art galleries. They are very much needed and they also tell a great deal about the life around. I love ending up in artistic streets with Antique shops, galleries and those little particular boutiques. You can walk for ages without getting bored..
Have a very nice evening,
Aina
I totally agree. Unfortunatley we dont really have a gallery like that up here anymore. There is one for glass work but thats about it. A real shame as we are in a big tourist area but full of imported made in china rubbish and only one artist who goes around pushing his wares to shops but is a complete w**nker (scuse the french!) As you can tell I am quite passionate about this topic lol.

What a fun little gallery! These are my favourite types of galleries - humble little spaces filled to the brim with amazing talent! : )
Ah white, I am craving it all the time these days. Love these photos to remind me why I'm loving it so! Hoping you are having a lovely summer!
