Home Love....

I was just over at my good friend, photographer Prue Ruscoe's site having a sticky beak around at what she's been up to lately and I came these gorgeous shots of Mark and Louella Tuckey's house and boat which she photographed for Inside Out a while ago. Being a white paint lover, I'm always so impressed by those of you out there who go for a black painted interior. Black has such strength and presence and works so beautifully when paired with deep chocolate tones, whites and bold colour as seen here. Don't you just love it!

Sunny DAys...

Hip Hip Hooray.... for sunny, sunny days!
Would you believe that it's the middle of winter in Byron Bay and I've been swimming at the beach almost every day this week! Although the water is still a little chilly - the air temperature is simply perfect and so I've been enjoying morning swims before a coffee at my favourite coffee hole. And with the kids still on holidays - we've been catching up on a few of our favourite holiday activities - today it was a trip to Crystal Castle - to enjoy all of the beautiful crystals and the gardens. We particularly love the Buddha garden with the massive statue of Buddha. It's such a tranquil place - definately worth a visit if you;re in these parts.
Yep, it's hip hip hooray for sunny sunny days....

Milk Collection....

I love my little milk glass collection - which sits on a shelf in my kitchen. It's just so - well - milky looking, don't you find? I particularly love my two new goblet additions that sit at the front of my little collection! Aren't they cute?

Ribbons Glorious Ribbons...

I'm very excited about my new Martha Stewart ribbon dispenser, that I picked up at Spotlight in Logan on the weekend. Isn't it just glorious! I'm not sure if it's age(!) or simply a newfound distaste for mess - but this kind of nifty organizational tool really rocks my socks off!

Fields of Dreams...

Can't you just imagine a long, languid lunch with a few friends out in this beautiful field? It's a dream of mine to host a lunch in one of our paddocks - with a long table and benches big enough to accommodate many bottoms. It would have to be spring of course - warm, but not too hot - with a menu of delightful indulgences. Ah, heaven...

Tea Time....

Tea tastes all the better when consumed from a porcelain cup, don't you find? I have two favourite cups to consume my tea from - my Jasper Conran for Wedgewood designed peacock teacup (in shades of greens and blue, of course!) and a small but sweet cup and saucer given to me by my mother on my wedding day. This one is all white - but somehow it's size, shape and the fact that it's porcelain makes for a lovely cuppa. I also love the vintage kind and particularly loved this cup and saucer. I imagine this lovely set would serve tea to perfection.

Happy Monday....

Monday is as sweet as can be when the sun is shining and the birds are whistling. And, that's exactly how life is up at the farm today...

Sunshine Days...

It's a gray old day up here on the farm today - so I'm snuggled up on the sofa in front of the fire with my computer in lap. It's a times like these that the long, hot days of summer spring to mind - where life is carefree and easy. Where schedules are left behind and we hit the road in search of summer sunshine. And wouldn't it be nice to hit the road towing a caravan made for two... just like this gorgeous one. Ah to dream....

Green Love...

You know how much I love green - particularly the turquoise kind - and so I've been on the hunt for pics made up of beautiful greens today and look at what I found. Don't you think that green teamed with natural shades of chocolate and woody browns make for the most delicious colour palette? Hope you like these pics too...

Kids Play...

I love kids dress ups and am always on the hunt for fun and funky outfits for my crew and so was very excited to come across this range from Wovenplay. Talk about eccentric! Exactly what I like in a kid!

No Chintz Time...

No Chintz is soft furnishing heaven for anyone that way inclined as I am. The store is filled to the brim with all kinds of goodies for the home - cushions, curtains, ribbons, buttons and fabrics. Here are some shots from their website that I thought you may like. I think the caravan conversion has to be my favourite.
